How far in advance should we book?
For weddings, most couples book 8–18 months in advance, especially for peak dates. Family sessions are more flexible, but booking a few weeks ahead is always a good idea.
How do we secure our date?
A signed contract and deposit are all it takes to officially reserve your spot. The deposit amount for a wedding is $200 and any other session is $50. Please note if a studio is booked for your session, your deposit amount will increase to include the rental rate.
What should we wear?
I recommend neutral tones, soft textures, and coordinating (not matching) outfits. I’m happy to help you plan! I also have a style guide that I will send you!
How would you describe your photography style?
My style is natural, relaxed, and focused on real connection. I aim to capture genuine moments rather than stiff poses.
We’re awkward in front of the camera—can you help?
Absolutely. Most people feel that way! I guide you gently so you feel comfortable, and the focus stays on enjoying the moment together.
Do you pose us or keep things candid?
A mix of both. I’ll give you simple direction/ prompts when needed, but I also leave space for real, unscripted moments to unfold.
Do you help with timelines?
Yes! I’m happy to help build a photography timeline so your day flows smoothly and you get the most out of your coverage.
Do you travel for sessions or weddings?
Yes! I’m always happy to travel, just reach out with your plans and I’ll share details.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
That’s completely normal. I keep sessions relaxed and playful so we can capture real smiles and authentic moments. I also recommend bringing mess free snacks!
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Delivery times vary, but typically 2-4 weeks for sessions and 8-12 weeks for weddings to ensure everything is carefully edited.
What happens if it rains?
For sessions, we can reschedule or embrace the weather if you’re up for it. For weddings, I always have a umbrellas. Most venues have a contingency plan as well.
Can we request specific shots?
Yes, of course! It's your gallery, I want to make sure the shots you want are in there! I do request that you share these with me prior to our session or your wedding.
Can I request my photos stay off of social media or your website?
You have every right to request that your images stay offline. I'm more than happy to respect your wishes when it comes to the privacy of you & your family.
What is your cancellation Policy?
For regular sessions, the cancellation policy is 7 days prior. A wedding is 3 months prior to the wedding date. Some cancellations will result in a refund. If a studio has been booked the deposit is non-refundable.
Where can I leave a review?
Thanks for taking the time to leave me a review! A review can be left on either my Facebook page or my Google Business page.
Family photos mean everything to me—they hold the little moments I never want to forget. The way we laugh together, how everyone’s grown, even the messy, imperfect days. they’re all part of our story. One day, these photos will be what we look back on and feel right at home again.
Regular Sessions.
Session Consultation.
We’ll start with a conversation about what you’re hoping for and what matters most to you. It’s a chance for us to connect, go over your vision, and make sure we’re the right fit for each other. As much as you want a photographer who's the right fit, I want to make sure that I can provide what you're looking for.
Booking the Session.
Once you’re ready, I’ll send over a contract by email. If anything feels unclear, I’m always happy to walk you through it. After it’s signed and the deposit is received, your session is officially booked! I’ll also send a style guide to help with outfit choices, and if you want a second opinion or help pulling things together, just reach out anytime.
During the Session.
Your session will be easygoing and fun. I’ll come in with a plan based on what we talked about, using gentle prompts and a bit of direction to bring out natural, genuine moments. There will be some light posing, but the focus is always on real connection and authentic smiles. If little ones are part of the session, we’ll keep things playful with games and movement to capture those joyful, in-between moments.
Post Session.
Once your session is complete, I carefully go through all the images and select the very best moments to edit with care. Within about 4 weeks, you’ll receive your online gallery where you can view and choose the images included in your package. If you fall in love with more (which often happens!), you’ll also have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to the full gallery.
Choosing a wedding photographer isn’t just about the photos—it’s about finding someone you feel comfortable with. They’ll be by your side for so many important moments, so having that trust makes everything feel more natural and easy.
Weddings.
Wedding Consultation.
This is such an important step for both of us. It’s where we get to connect, hear your story, and talk through what you’re envisioning for your wedding day. It also helps make sure we’re the right fit, while you’re looking for someone who understands your vision, I want to make sure I’m working with couples who align with my approach as well. We’ll go over all the details, what matters most to you, and how I can best capture your day.
Engagement Session.
Your engagement session is a chance for us to get to know each other beyond emails and planning. It helps you feel more comfortable in front of the camera and gives you a sense of how I guide and work with you. By the time your wedding day arrives, it’ll feel natural and easy, like having a familiar face there capturing it all. That's why I always recommend booking an engagement session before booking the wedding.
Booking your Wedding.
Once you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send a contract over by email. If you have any questions at all, I’m always here to help. Once it’s signed and the deposit is paid, your date is officially secured! If you did an engagement session then there is no additional deposit required.
Before your Wedding.
As your day gets closer, we’ll connect to go over your timeline and make sure everything flows smoothly, I’m always happy to help build one around your photo priorities. I’ll have you send over a list of family groupings so we don’t miss anyone important, along with any specific poses or moments you’d love captured. You’ll also receive a checklist of details to have ready (like your invitations, rings, shoes, etc.) and a few helpful tips to make the most of your photos throughout the day.
Your Wedding Day.
On your wedding day, I’ll arrive a little early so we can connect and ease into things. I’ll gently guide you through the day, keeping everything on track while still allowing space for real moments to unfold. When it’s time for family photos, I’ll work through the list efficiently, these moments are important, and staying on schedule helps ensure we get everything you want. Once we’re done, you’ll be free to fully relax and soak in every moment with the people you love.
After your Wedding.
Shortly after your wedding, I’ll send over a handful of sneak peeks so you can relive a few special moments while everything is still fresh. Your full gallery will be delivered within 8–12 weeks via email, filled with the very best images from your day. You can expect a mix of both colour and black & white edits, all carefully chosen to tell the story of your wedding in a genuine and timeless way.
